Inside Cardew Lodge
Inside the house many original features have been maintained.
The old Kitchens and Larder have been preserved as examples of the past life in the house. These rooms are open to the public when the gardens are opened once a year for charity. A Laundry wing with original drying room and large sinks has also been preserved.

The present owners have installed a modern kitchen in what was the Servants Sitting Room.
In the corridor to the kitchens there still exists the original line of 15 bells for summoning a servant.
The imposing main staircase is supplemented by two additional staircases which would have been used by servants at each end of the house.
View of the vaulted ceiling in the drawing room
Currently ten rooms are designated bedrooms and other rooms comprise a drawing room with magnificently vaulted ceiling, a living room with recess, an elegant dining room and a reception room entered via the entrance hall which also has access to the servants wing.
